As one can guess, with only one PA who doesn’t have half as much free time as she’d like, things are moving slower than planned. But that isn’t going to stop me. ;D
Today I’ve begun work on starter clothes. Everyone will have these in their avatar sections when they join, and they will come in several colors (three of which are brown, black and white)! The work for this set is around 20% complete, and I’ll be giving you guys a little preview once it’s complete. 
Question: What’s the one color you love that other avatar sites seem to leave out? Leave your replies and they may become part of the basic palette!

That’s awesome to see that the Avatar site is making some progress! However, to give my honest opinion; given my recent observations of community game site. I honestly think that the pixel age is going to end very soon. In the past pixel avatars were perfect because they had a fast bit-rate/upload rate, they didn’t take much space, and they uploaded in the same quality in all most all computers.
But technology is increasing at in incredible rate, now the majority of computers come with HD capabilities and remarkable speeds. People are looking to be a part of a world they love. If that’s anime, they are looking for a interface that meats the current requirement.
People are all ways looking for a new interface, a new look, and a new system. If it’s the same thing, and same methods; then It wont evolve. A society never settles with the first thing that comes out. When someone encounters a very similar game in which they’ve seen many times, they’ll end up getting bored with it.
Sorry, a lot of this is just my personal opinion. If I offended anyone I’m very sorry but this is just an issue I wished to express. I just don’t really see this becoming very successful. One reason I posted this was to give an important point that I felt wasn’t given. There is so much opportunity to make this into something great, given the available technology today, I just don’t want to see some one put all this effort and then see it fail.

I understand your concern, but I and the staff feel that the chosen method is what will work best for us. Personally, I feel that pixel avatars are very much still contenders in the avatar site world. It’s simply a matter of bringing new ideas and innovation to the scene, which is something we all will be working hard to make happen.
The method may be old, but creativity can breathe new life into many things. ^^
